Floridian Nights

They say inspiration strikes at the strangest of hours; this came about while blowing out the barn aisle with a leaf blower, leading me to sing it over and over to myself like a crazy person so I wouldn't forget the words. This little diddy brought to you by the power of Florida's irrepressible heat dome, sung to the tune of "Arabian Nights" from the one and only Aladdin. Oh, I come from a land, such a far away place Where the caravan gators roam Where it's flat and immense And the heat is intense It's barbaric, but, hey, it's home When the suns from the east and the storms from the west Bring humidity to cause such a fright Come on down, come inside Where there's AC and hide From another Floridian night Floridian nights, like Floridian days More often than not Are hotter than hot In a lot of good ways Floridian nights, like Floridian sand A fool off his guard Will fall and fall hard In this swampy land
